  • Apr 03,  · "Everything I Do Gonna Be Funky, O'Donel Levy's follow-up to his excellent Simba, is something of a letdown in comparison. Simba featured a bunch of solid tunes, written and dynamically arranged by Manny Albam. Although both albums were produced by label head Sonny Lester, without Albam's input these sessions seem somewhat lost.
  • Just want to share the joy and excitement I received from the process of creating my own Vinyl for someone special. What you and your Team has provided is an amazing way to keep in contact with people we care about and when they will listen to the music, it will help us connect on many different levels. So THANK YOU ALL!
  • If you've ever had to spend a long, prolonged amount of time in a Guitar Center retail outlet, you have most likely heard names dropped like Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani and maybe Alvin Lee, who was the legendary guitarrorist of the longhaired and denim clad Ten Years After. The heavy blues rock band formed in the late '60s but didn't attract much attention until their performance.

  • A great later set from 70s guitar genius O'Donel Levy – slightly different than his earlier work for the Groove Merchant label, but equally great in its own sort of way! Levy's still working here with producer Sonny Lester on the LC label – and the tone is great, with this clear, clean, soulful line that should have made O'Donel one of the giants of his generation – tripping.
